Missions that have been tackled thus far...
In 2014, Insanity4Humanity completed a 100 mile run, raised over $30,000, and fed over 100,000 kids. Due to this accomplishment, Saturday, October 11th, 2014, will forever be known as #100M4HUNGER Day in the state of Minnesota due to the proclamation of Governor Mark Dayton.
In 2016, Insanity4Humanity completed a 300 mile triathlon to help bring awareness and support for victims of Human Trafficking. This triathlon spanned the state of Minnesota, starting in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, and ending in Austin, Minnesota. This large scale event included several speaking engagements, fundraisers including a concert, and giant media coverage. This accomplishment not only raised awareness, it raised over $50,000 which was split between a local organization in Rochester, Minnesota called 'Mission 21' who serves victims of Sex Trafficking, and 'Out of Ashes' in Nepal. It also earned Governor Mark Dayton's proclamation - #300M4FREEDOM Day, on August 27th, 2016.
Run2Repair is a 4K warrior dash style run consisting of ten obstacles. The event is being hosted by Southland senior, Morgan Brown, for her senior project. It promises to be a great time and fun for all! Registration will open in the next couple weeks as well as more information about the event.
Run2Repair will be an event held in Morgan’s uncle’s name that has served in the Navy since 2000, and has since then formed post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). We look to aware people on the disorder and help local Veteran’s programs stay funded, and bring awareness to the troubling disorder. Ironwood Springs Ranch and The Mower County Veterans Council will receive all proceeds from the event.
